Employment Opportunities
Our Mission:

Our mission is to revitalize the East Side neighborhoods we serve in order to improve the quality of life for all those residing or working here. Our service area spans Franklin, Shrewsbury, Belmont and Lincoln Streets, as well as Green Hill Park and Plumley Village.

We work to reduce neighborhood blight, preserve current housing stock, increase the availability of affordable homeownership opportunities and well-managed rental units, assist residents in obtaining full-time employment, promote the activities of new and existing businesses, and create a safer, healthier community for all.  We invite and encourage resident participation to achieve these goals.

Source of Funds:

We receive funding from a variety of public and private sources that provide the money we need to succesfully complete the broad scope of ongoing projects. These investments foster the stabilization and the revitalization of our community. We gratefully thank:

Community Support

Fostering community pride and participation is also an important part of the work we do. Whether you're a resident, business owner, or someone who grew up here and wants to see the neighborhood retain its character and vitality, we want you to be connected to our organization and its mission. One way to stay informed and to support our initiatives is to become a WESCDC member, the benefits of which include our quarterly newsletter, as well as an invitation to our Annual Meeting and buffet dinner held each September. For more information on how to become a member, go to Contact Us.
